Registration TSN HSN help for a foreigner from Australia.

    Hello, Im sorry for writing in English as my german writing is horrible. I have just put a deposit on a T3 Van rego 04/1993, and I am a little confused regarding the TSN HSN numbers. The van has a different engine in it, and I believe this might be the source of my confusion.
    The numbers in the registration papers are 0600 and 157, however 157 does not exist. However in the section below it it says 500 (which is an old 86 audi engine I think)
    If someone could help a silly foreigner from Australia understand what I am looking at at what I need to do, that would be most appreciated.

    Here are more T4 users, but I had a T3 a couple of years ago.
    The numers in the documents TSN and HSN
    HSN 0600 is the manufacturer = Volkswagen
    0600/500 would be an Audi 50, LS, GLS with Petrol 1263 ccm 60 HP engine
    in fact 0600/157 does not exist.
    Are you looking at German documents?
    does it look like (example only) this?


    Which engine is built in?

    I think you might have a T4, because with the date of produktion in 04/1993 there in Europe they did no longer built any T3.
    May be that in other continents at this time there might have been produktionlines.


    Is it possible for you to place a picture of your vehicle and at best some of the engine here?

    It would be very helpful if you may post a scan of the vehicle registration certificate here, otherwise we are stepping in the dark.
    Another way possible would be that you contact (or at best see) your local, licensed VW dealer, who may do a research in the VW database to clarify the kombi configuration.
