    in the first picture I read the words "Wellendichtung/ Nockenwelle/ Umlenkrolle". And in the second pic it is "Nockenw." for Nockenwelle.
    I think, this means, they have changed the tooth belt for the camshaft (including tension pulley). I don't know exactly what is meant by "Wellendichtung", perhaps the shaft sealing behind the double-mass flywheel.
    So I assume, the tooth belt for injection pump is not new. Perhaps there was a problem with the shaft sealing and the tooth belt was changed by that work.

    they usually change the water pump, too, if the car gets a new belt.
    But I'm afraid the service book won't help you.
    Do you have any bills ? (Only) there you could see it.

  • Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately I don't have the bills. I've only the service book. It will be easy to get the VW's ones but the other workshop has not copy... I've asked but the answer was negative.


    How can I see if the water pump has been changed ? And do you know why some workshops changes one belt and not the other one ?


    On the ad it was written the belt is new, the second one was changed in 2013. I did not make a screenshot in German of it. I've a translated screenshot of the ad.

    So, for you, only one belt has been changed.


    i think I'll change the beltS, the damper, the water pump. I prefer to have no doubt. Was little bit hard to find that T4. A Syncro lang Klima 9 eats, AXL,langer nose , 1 hand and VW service !! I really don't want to break it.

    I cannot see your pictures on my phone... but if it was done by a Volkswagen Dealer, they will have changed the waterpump too.
    It should look somehow new. As my generator shines that was changed in france.


    Don't mind for the fuel injection belt. If your Bus has a good start in winter, you can change that one later.

    When my belt was changed they also changed the water pump and it already was the newer version.
    Having the item in hand you already could feel that it was not the light running the new one had.
    So we had done the right decision to change it.
    I also changed this both belts when I got the car. I wanted to be secured.
    The old owner had changed both belts (and the pump) 60 000 km before.


    You also should consider to change the oil seal of the cam shaft , If it gives up later you could repeat all your work.

    somebody du can tells me what are will the consequences if the injection's belt breaks ?


    if I understood everything. The big belt as been changed with the others pieces who has written on the service book. There is no need to change it but I've to check if the water pump has been change at the same time. In case of yes, I don't need to be stress. And I don't need to be stress
    about the small one. Right ?

  • If injection belt gets off, motor will stop running at once. You will need transportation but no harm should be done to your motor. (finger cross)


    On the other side there is the important tooth-belt for the nockenwelle. AND there is a normal belt for servo & generator. If this belt for generator brakes it might sometimes distroy also your belt for the nockenwelle.
    Also the done change of the simmering is important, because oil-drops from there could let jump off the belt for nockenwelle.
    As they have changed that simmering, it is very likely that they also changed the waterpump. Because not every mechanics cares for the simmering, they seem to have followed a well plan.

    Je ne suis pas le spécialiste des moteurs, mais je pense que mon francais est assez satisfaisant pour pouvoir dépanner de temps en temps.
    En tout cas, ils me comprennent chez PSA quand je traite des Sujets techniques.
